Calling it an “epic fail,” Clyde Middleton at Liberty Pundits shares the good news that President Obama’s Executive Order 13505, “Removing Barriers to Responsible Scientific Research Involving Human Stem Cells Destroying Tiny Human Beings” has been “tossed” by DC District Court Judge Royce Lamberth. This means that the administration cannot use federal funds to expand embryonic stem cell research (ESCR). Quoth the the judge:
ESC research is clearly research in which an embryo is destroyed. To conduct ESC research, ESCs must be derived from an embryo. The process of deriving ESCs from an embryo results in the destruction of the embryo. Thus, ESC research necessarily depends upon the destruction of a human embryo.
Note to O-Team: Don’t mess with Dickey-Wicker.
