Pro-life Congressman Bart Stupak (D, Mi), announced at 4:00 p.m. ET that he’s now a “Yes” for the healthcare reform bill. To me, the Obama Executive Order, upon which pro-life Dems including Stupak are relying, is as vulnerable as the Hyde Amendment. That, although having prohibited federal funding for abortions for decades, nevertheless must be renewed by the president on an annual basis.
Let’s say that one year he decides not to renew it. What then?
Stupak also said that Dems now have the votes they need to pass the legislation.
