Politico reports that the 1,502-page Chairman’s Mark, the Finance Committee reviewed and approved version of the “America’s Health Future Act of 2009,” has been filed. The latest Rasmussen poll of likely voters (contrasted to many MSM polls of US adults) shows 54% oppose, while 42% support current health care proposals. Seniors are against, 59% to 36%. 55% oppose the “Baucus bill’s” annual $750 penalty for not having health insurance.

Looking, as the President said, all “spiffy” in their white lab coats, 150 doctors were invited to the Rose Garden yesterday to lend support to Obamacare. The only thing is, well, many of the doctors forgot their coats, so the ones you see them wearing were handed out by presidential staff before the address.

Again, this is a poll of registered voters, not all adults. Interestingly, 80% (Democrats, Republicans, and independents) would support deregulating the insurance industry so that companies could solicit and offer insurance outside of their states.
