The devil hates Eve, for she is the mother of all living; indeed prefigured by the blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, she is the New Eve, the Church, the Bride of Christ. Throughout history Satan has has pursued Eve in order to subjugate, control, disparage, exploit, and ultimately destroy her. No small wonder that the Son of God has taken not the flesh of Adam, but the flesh of Eve (Mary) into Himself, He Who is the God of the widow and the orphan. He is the One, as true God and true Man, we worship: Jesus Christ.

Although it is not new news, I thought that you might enjoy this from Biopolitical Times concerning New York State’s proposal to pay women to harvest their eggs for embryonic stem cell research (ESCR). As I have suggested before, if they don’t do this here in America, they will seek to harvest eggs from poor, Third World women at a fraction of the cost. The ravenous ESCR volcano god (now called “science,” “human compassion,” “pragmatics,” etc.) must be regularly served his sacrifice of human flesh. From the article:

The governing board of New York state’s stem cell research funding program approved payments for women to provide eggs for cloning-based stem cell research. This follows on the recommendations of the program’s ethics board last month. On Twitter, Art Caplan called it “a bad idea whose time has apparently come.” He elaborated a bit to The Scientist:

“I don’t think it’s a good idea,” Arthur Caplan, a bioethicist at the University of Pennsylvania, told The Scientist. It’s “more ethically acceptable” to pay women to harvest eggs for in vitro fertilization programs because donor eggs have proven successful in assisted fertility treatments. With stem cell research, “the risk benefit ratio starts to slide,” Caplan said. “It’s a lot iffier a proposition and I think that makes a difference. In research you don’t know what you’re going to get, and the odds are that cloning for research is never going to work.”

But of course, Dr. Caplan, that matters little when research dollars–and the devil’s designs–are at stake.
