These days, there’s no stopping the progress of adult stem cell research. Australia’s News.com is reporting that scientists have found a way to coat common contact lenses with adult eye stem cells so that corneas can be regenerated. Amazing! Notes University of New South Wales medical researcher Dr. Nick Di Girolamo:

“The stem cells were able to change from the conjunctival phenotype to a corneal phenotype after we put them onto the cornea … that’s the beauty of stem cells.”
