The Obama Administration is having difficulty swallowing the April 15 Tea Party, which according to the Christian Science Monitor hosted over a half-million participants nationwide.
Today’s The Washington Post reports that the president, apparently a coffee drinker, will
order [Cabinet] members to identify a combined $100 million in budget cuts over the next 90 days.
Of course, to you and me $100 million is a whole. lotta. money. But as only 2.9 0.0029 percent of the president’s 2010 $3.5 trillion budget, which according to the Post
contemplates a $1.2 trillion deficit,
the proposal is what we in the South call “weak tea.” The kind of which one spews out of one’s mouth.
Yessir, a mighty weak 2.9 0.0029 percent.
Or, in layman’s terms, $1,450 $1.45 on a $50,000 per-year income.
Yep, mighty weak.
